Google analytics

The  Acquisition  section tells us where our visitors originated from, such as search engines, social networks or website referrals. The Audience Overview is that what you see when you first log into your website’s Google Analytics. At the top of shows graphs of number of users on which date how many users. & at another portion graph are shown  performed sessions on your website, pageviews, pages per session, average session duration, bounce rate and the percentage of new sessions. At the bottom of the Audience Overview are quick links to top demographic, system and mobile data, along with a chart showing the number of sessions on your website from visitors speaking a particular language.

Due to its ubiquity, Google Analytics raises some privacy concerns. Whenever someone visits a website that uses Google Analytics, Google tracks that visit via the users'  IP address  in order to determine the user's approximate geographic location. To meet German legal requirements, Google Analytics can anonymize the IP address.Google has  also released a browser plug-in that turns off data about a page visit being sent to Google, however this browser extension is not available for mobile browsers. Since this plug-in is produced and distributed by Google itself, it has met much discussion and criticism. Webmasters who seek to mitigate Google Analytics' specific privacy issues can employ a number of  alternatives having their backends hosted on their own machines . Until its discontinuation, an example of such a product was  Urchin WebAnalytics Software  from Google itself.

Google Analytics is implemented with " page tags ", in this case, called the Google Analytics Tracking Code,  which is a snippet of  JavaScript  code that the website owner adds to every page of the website. The tracking code runs in the client browser when the client browses the page (if JavaScript is enabled in the browser) and collects visitor data and sends it to a Google data collection  server  as part of a request for a  web beacon . Google Analytics is used to  track  website activity such as  session  duration, pages per session,  bounce rate  etc. of individuals using the site, along with the information on the source of the traffic. It can be integrated with  Google Ads ,  with which users can create and review online campaigns by tracking landing page quality and  conversions  (goals). Google Analytics works  by the inclusion of a block of JavaScript code on pages in your website. The tracking operation retrieves data about the page request through various means and sends this information to the   server via a list of parameters attached to a single-pixel image request.
